Rwanda Swaps Capitalism for Genocide (5-6-10)

Hi, this is conservative candor and I'm Dr. Carl Mumpower...

Rwanda - this African nation is synonymous with genocide and the folly of foreign entanglements. Hundreds of thousands of Rwandans were slaughtered in a Tutsis - Hutu power struggle, but this country is landing on its feet. Thanks largely to a leader with an apparent dedication to - of all things - capitalism. Paul Kagame led the army that overthrew the government and ended the bloodshed. He immediately embraced private enterprise, a free market, and competition as the keys to recovery. He was right and his approach is bringing prosperity to his ravaged country. Imagine an African leader who champions production, responsibility, tax reform, fair trade, and civil liberties with not only words, but actions. Now try to name an American leader with that same insight and courage. Kagame stopped the genocide in his country and has refused the dependencies of foreign aid and victim status for his people. Those looking for a model conservative in a world of pretenders would do well to remember his name. Thanks to Kagame, Rwanda is busy becoming what we're busy giving away...

Hi - this is Dr. Carl with today's candid conservative minute...

Though the conservative movement is blessed with some brilliant voices, it might be time for a drug screen on the studio water coolers. Some of the sharpest minds in the business are increasingly demonstrating behaviors typical to histrionic psychiatric patients. Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Ann Coutler can blow away the left with their wit and wisdom. More and more they seem to be trying to blow up their polls. Who the heck cares whose number 1? What conservatives care about is cognitively correct perspectives on social, governmental, religious, and other matters that bring us closer to truth. Slapstick comedy, head banger music, and juvenile presentations distract from and damage the essence of the discussion. Leave the polls, slapstick, and hysterics to the guys who are best at it - the leftheaded talking heads. Our important conservative voices need to get back on track with their compelling dedication to reality, reason, responsibility, and right. As has been proven, the polls will then take care of themselves...
