Hi - this is Dr. Carl with today candid conservative minute...

For a study in contrasting views on illegal immigration, take a look at Asheville, North Carolina and Fremont, Nebraska. Asheville, one of the most liberal cities in America, is a sanctuary city in every way but official pronouncement. The police chief, supported by an equally leftheaded city council, tip-toes around illegals with every policy possible. Employing illegal workers has become almost a sport in Asheville - knowing that ICE and local law enforcement are mostly paralyzed - accountability is not a concern. Even the local university is busy building a new sports complex where the language of action is Spanish - in spite of an unemployment rate that is the worst since the Great Depression. Fremont takes a dimmer view of illegal immigrants and their employers. Voters just approved new ordinances that ban hiring or renting property to illegals. Though the American Corrupted Liberties Union has pledged to challenge the ordinance, Fremont, unlike Asheville and most other cities refuses to be intimidated. They are willing to fight for the rule of law - and like all conservative thinkers, believe the American Dream should be earned - not stolen...

YWCA and Other Illegal Immigration Enablers (9-9-10)

Hi - this is Dr. Carl with today's candid conservative minute...

Since the seventies, your neighborhood YWCA has made social activism a top priority. What was once a Young Women's Christian Association is now more like a Young Women's Liberal Association. Heck, we couldn't even find the word "Christian" anywhere on their web site. Recent activities include hosting a Webinar on Immigration Reform. Sounds innocent until you get to know their partner, The National Immigration Forum. Their mission is amnesty for the 15 plus million illegals in America. Like a host of non-profits, churches, and political enablers going back at least to Ronald Reagan, these folks support amnesty behind a hollow promise of stronger enforcement. That scam has failed for 25 years. When we prove we're serious about enforcement, then we can talk reform. Until then, the YWCA and enablers are using their non-profit credentials to conceal social engineering with a liberal bias. If you're a conservative with a checkbook, you might want to take a closer look at what your charitable donations are funding...
