Hi - this is Dr. Carl with today's candid conservative minute...
Google, Inc., the international search engine company, is growing faster than anyone in history. That's important because these folks control 70% of the U.S. internet search market. Worldwide, they process 2 billion searches a day and have a bigger gross domestic product that New Zealand. Heck, my computer even automatically capitalizes the name Google just in case I fail to pay this megapower appropriate homage. These guys are the gate keeper to the world of information we access through our computers. People pay them zillions of dollars to make sure their information pops up high on our search lists. That's power, and though Google is a self-described haven for progressive thinking, they are clearly capitalists of the first order. Monopolies are dangerous under any circumstances - monopolies on information, as demonstrated by our public school systems, can be catastrophic. Before Google becomes something out of a science fiction nightmare, we might want to consider their competition. My computer automatically capitalizes Google. You can bet their search engines have the power to do just the opposite...
I'm Dr. Carl Mumpower and you've just spent a minute with a candid conservative...
